JUMP THE MOON

Cashing in
On yesterday’s pain
Like a bag full of empty beer cans
Turn them in
For cash back
Recycling

The Needle and the Spoon
Met up with the Candle at high noon
And no one
Saw them
Jump the Moon

All the King’s men
And all the kings horses
All went around the bend
Half in the whorehouse
Half in the ale house
Pretty soon all are passed out
And no one saw them
Jump the Moon

On T.V false promise prophets
Humble shepherds of profits
Fishers of dollars from the pockets
Of broken men and women
All desperation seeking salvation
All seeking the passage to heaven

And no one
Saw them
Jump the Moon
